• plug in iphone
• create a directory mkdir ~/iphone
• ifuse ~/iphone

idevice_id -l

try pairing

idevicepair pair

with debug

idevicepair pair -d

check dmesg -w

fix the security policy if on Fedora 41

sudo update-crypto-policies --set FEDORA40

You can move photos and videos out of /DCIM/100APPLE, however you need to trigger a rebuild of the "Camera Roll" database by deleting the old databases.

cd /PhotoData

rm Photos* com.apple.photos.caches_metadata.plist
